THE MOST AMAZING THINGS TO DO IN PORTLAND, OREGON
I grew up in Salem, Oregon which is a mere 1 hour drive south of the lovely city of Roses, aka Portland, Oregon. When I was old enough to drive, my friends and I would go to Portland as much as possible to go shopping, go to the parks, hang out at the malls and enjoy the alternative scene (well, alternative from our comfy, boring life in Salem). I have a love/hate relationship with Oregon. If it weren’t for the rainy weather and gray skies, we would probably still be living in Oregon. This blog post is about the most amazing things to do in Portland, Oregon.
Oregon is a nature lover’s paradise. And even though Portland is the largest city in Oregon and quite the metropolis, it has A LOT going for it. Nature, parks, rivers, books, coffee, beer, vegan food, gorgeous beaches nearby and the people, to name a few of the most amazing things about Portland. Have you been to Portland? What did you like best about it?
The best time to visit Portland is during the summer because it’s less likely to rain. It can get pretty hot during the summer, esp August, but the good thing is that it cools down at night and you can experience the magic of sleeping with your windows open. I also really enjoy Fall in the Pacific NW with the leaves changing colors and the cool, crisp Autumn air. Check out the info. below for the most amazing things to do in Portland, Oregon.

This park has certainly gotten better over the years. It’s now a nice, manicured area with lots of nature, trees and the river to look at. If you like to skateboard or like watching skateboarders perform daring tricks, you can see them at the skateboard park in the middle of the park.
