If you have a car, it’s a short drive from Lisbon.
** Bonus: if you go to Costa da Caparica, I highly recommend that you visit my favorite place in this area – Mata dos Medos. The pine forests on the cliffs above Costa da Caparica offer fresh air and a relaxed atmosphere along with breathtaking views.
2. Praia da Ursa
For those willing to venture a bit farther from central Lisbon, Praia da Ursa rewards with its breathtaking natural beauty. Tucked between cliffs near Cabo da Roca, Europe’s westernmost point, this beach is known for its dramatic rock formations and pristine sands. Hot Tip: One of my favorite things to do is walk the promenade from Estoril to Cascais. If you plan on going to one of the beaches between these two coastal towns, I highly recommend a walk on the promenade.
